On July 24, 2024, in Nashville, Tennessee, 3-year-old Aydeen Pruitt tragically died from a gunshot wound to the head. The incident occurred at the family's apartment on Oakwood Avenue. Aydeen's mother reported hearing a loud pop from the bedroom while she was in the kitchen. Immediately afterward, Aydeen's father, 23-year-old Dandre (also reported as D’Andre) Pruitt, fled the scene with the firearm in a white Kia Soul.
