On October 14, 2024, 34-year-old Dr. Alyssa Dawn Lokits was tragically killed while exercising on the Mill Creek Greenway trail in Nashville, Tennessee. A graduate of the University of Kansas with a degree in Speech Pathology and a doctorate in Neuroscience from Vanderbilt University, Alyssa was known for her intellect, grace, and unwavering support for her family and friends. She was an avid traveler, fluent in several languages, and embraced new challenges ranging from home renovation to art.
