On the morning of March 30, 2023, at approximately 9:34 a.m., York City Police responded to reports of a shooting in the 100 block of East Maple Street in York, Pennsylvania. Upon arrival, officers discovered 24-year-old Quintir Shy'lyn Simmons, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Simmons was transported to WellSpan York Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:32 a.m.
