On the evening of April 2, 2025, 24-year-old African American male Jaliel Williams was fatally shot in York, Pennsylvania. The incident occurred around 8:20 p.m. in a residence located in the 600 block of Front Street, near a local playground. Williams sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to WellSpan York Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:01 p.m. A 17-year-old male was also injured in the shooting and remains in stable condition.
