On June 21, 2023, at approximately 8:02 p.m., Philadelphia Police officers responded to a call on the 6000 block of Regent Street, where they discovered 40-year-old William Nelson suffering from a gunshot wound. The officers immediately transported him to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, but despite their efforts, Nelson was pronounced deceased upon arrival.
