In the early evening of a Wednesday in Philadelphia, the life of 29-year-old Bahir Lacy was cut short by gunfire. On October 6, 2021, at approximately 6:30 p.m., police responded to the 700 block of Fairmount Avenue in the Northern Liberties neighborhood. There, they found Bahir Lacy suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Emergency responders transported Lacy to Jefferson Hospital, but his injuries were too severe. He was pronounced dead at 7:10 p.m. The incident was one of many violent ...
