On August 23, 2024, at approximately 3:30 p.m., 25-year-old Abdul Vicks, known in the music industry as rapper YBC Dul, was fatally shot in a drive-by incident in Philadelphia's Olney neighborhood. Vicks was stopped at a traffic light on the 5500 block of North Fairhill Street when a vehicle pulled alongside his car, and multiple shots were fired into the driver's side, striking him in the chest and hand.
