In the Olney neighborhood of Philadelphia, a tragic incident cut short the life of 17-year-old Kyleek Williams in October of 2021. The young man was in the basement of a residence on North American Street with two other teenagers when a firearm incident occurred. According to police reports, the teens were playing with semi-automatic guns when one of the weapons discharged, striking Williams in the stomach.
