On Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at approximately 3:12 p.m., Philadelphia Police officers were called to the scene where they discovered a man suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was identified as 27-year-old Eric Cruz-Romero, a male resident of the city.
Medical personnel arrived at the location and immediately began to render aid to Cruz-Romero.
Despite their efforts, he was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. The cause of death was determined to be the injuries he sustained from the gunfire.
