Death by Force

On the evening of September 4, 2024, 24-year-old Mario Olivera was fatally shot while sitting on the front porch of his home in Philadelphia's Kensington neighborhood. At approximately 6:30 p.m., two assailants approached Olivera and his 1-year-old son, whom he was holding at the time. The attackers fired multiple shots, striking Olivera in the head and thigh.
