On the evening of October 2, 2024, Terrell Jones, 36, was fatally shot during an attempted robbery inside S & S Candy Quick Stop at 40th and Brown streets in Philadelphia's Mantua neighborhood. Jones was reportedly playing a video game inside the store when two individuals entered and attempted to rob him. During the confrontation, one of the assailants shot Jones multiple times.
