Quron Ross-Weems, 26, a Black male from Philadelphia, died on July 26, 2025, after gunfire shattered a summer birthday barbecue on the 1900 block of West Hunting Park Avenue in the Tioga-Nicetown section of the city. Around 8:22 p.m., an argument on the block turned physical and spilled into the street; shots erupted, and Quron Ross-Weems was struck in the head. Police rushed him to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead later that night.
