On the evening of May 18, 2024, 22-year-old Qaadir Hyneef Cheeks was fatally shot outside a restaurant on the 5400 block of Baltimore Avenue in Philadelphia. Responding to reports of gunfire at approximately 10:48 p.m., Philadelphia Police officers discovered Qaadir lying on the sidewalk, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The officers immediately transported him to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased by medical personnel.
