On the morning of September 7, 2023, 21-year-old Philadelphia Streets Department employee Masir Williams was fatally shot in South Philadelphia. The incident occurred around 8:45 a.m. at a corner store located at 23rd and Oakford streets in the Point Breeze neighborhood.
