On August 7, 2024, at approximately 12:41 p.m., Philadelphia Police responded to reports of a vehicle collision on the 1300 block of West Roosevelt Boulevard in the Hunting Park neighborhood. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 2017 Honda CRV that had collided with the median and another vehicle. Inside the driver's seat, they found 25-year-old William Torres-Espinal, who had sustained a gunshot wound to his back.
