On May 1, 2023, at approximately 11:34 p.m., Philadelphia Police officers responded to a report of a person with a gun on the 1500 block of West Tioga Street in the city's Tioga section. Upon arrival, they discovered 23-year-old Jeremiah Shields lying on the living room floor of a residence, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
