On June 6, 2024, 25-year-old Jeremiah Lee Anger was fatally shot in Pittsburgh's Carrick neighborhood. The incident occurred shortly before noon at a residence on Wynoka Street near Brownsville Road. Anger managed to call 911, reporting that he had been shot. First responders found him with gunshot wounds to the chest and transported him to UPMC Mercy Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
