On October 5, 2024, at approximately 9:36 a.m., Philadelphia Police officers responded to a call on the 1300 block of North 52nd Street, where they discovered 20-year-old Tamir A. Threadgill inside an apartment, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel transported him to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, but despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead later that morning.
