On March 5, 2023, at approximately 2:15 p.m., High Point Police responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 3700 block of Eskdale Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered 28-year-old Michael S. Brown Jr. with a fatal gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
