On December 10, 2023, at approximately 9:00 a.m., High Point Police Department officers responded to a reported assault with a deadly weapon at a residence in the 1300 block of Cook Street in High Point, North Carolina. Upon arrival, they discovered 29-year-old Rozario A. Cave, known as "Zee," suffering from a gunshot wound. Tragically, Cave was pronounced dead at the scene.
The High Point Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit promptly initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Cave's death. Detectives identified all individuals involved, characterizing the incident as isolated with no ongoing threat to the community.
On January 5, 2024, authorities arrested 22-year-old Miracle A. Jones of High Point, charging her with second-degree murder in connection with Cave's death. Jones was taken into custody without incident.

Cave's passing has deeply affected his family and the local community. Born on February 6, 1994, to Carmoletta Williams Douglas and Toriano Marcellus Cave, he was a High Point Central High School graduate, class of 2012. Cave pursued various careers, including computer technology, phlebotomy, and sales, before finding his passion in barbering. He was attending Beyond Measured Barbering Institute and was employed by Hibbett Sports at the time of his death. He is survived by his five children and numerous family members.
