Khalil Tyrone Jones, a 22-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on September 20, 2019, in High Point, North Carolina. The incident occurred around 2:10 p.m. when officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 500 block of Wise Avenue near Sharon Street. Upon arrival, they found Jones lying in the road, having been shot in the back while riding his moped. He was immediately transported to Moses Cone Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
