Vann Lee Yates, a 57-year-old resident of High Point, North Carolina, was tragically shot and killed on January 21, 2015, while working in his backyard. Yates was born on September 13, 1957, in Guilford County, North Carolina, and had lived in the area most of his life. He was a well-loved member of the community, known for his generosity and love for the outdoors.
On the day of his death, Yates was working with a landscaper when two men approached him, asking to buy some lawn equipment.
