On May 16, 2018, Gene Aikens Jr., a 50-year-old male from High Point, North Carolina, was found deceased in his home on the 200 block of Dorothy Street. Authorities responded to the scene after receiving a distress call and discovered Gene Aikens Jr. had suffered fatal gunshot wounds.
