On May 11, 2023, at approximately 9:20 p.m., the Burlington Police Department responded to reports of a shooting at the Tucker Street Apartments on Center Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered two individuals with gunshot wounds: 17-year-old Tymondre Womack and 26-year-old Jaleel Alston. Tragically, Womack was pronounced dead at the scene, while Alston was transported to a local hospital for treatment and later released.
