On June 17, 2023, at approximately 2 a.m., a tragic incident unfolded at the Fusion Hookah Lounge on East Independence Boulevard in Charlotte, North Carolina. A dispute escalated into gunfire, resulting in four individuals being shot. Among them was 33-year-old La'Nard Dyvion Gaddy, who succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The other three victims sustained injuries of varying severity and were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
