Moises Alexander Hernandez, a 17-year-old Hispanic male, tragically lost his life on November 3, 2021, in Charlotte, North Carolina. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning when officers from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to a call regarding a larceny from a motor vehicle on McAlpine Glen Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered Moises Hernandez with a gunshot wound.
He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
The investigation quickly identified Dalton Neel, a 28-year-old male, as a person of interest. Neel was subsequently arrested and charged with voluntary manslaughter.
