On July 31, 2023, at approximately 7:15 p.m., a shooting occurred in the 7500 block of Panther Lake Road in Willow Spring, North Carolina. Two men sustained life-threatening injuries and were transported to a local hospital. One of the victims, 30-year-old Cody Armstrong, was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
