On March 1, 2024, at approximately 6:30 p.m., 17-year-old Jorden Anthony Wood was fatally shot in the parking lot of the Longhorn Steakhouse located at 8115 Mallard Creek Road in Charlotte, North Carolina. Witnesses reported hearing a gunshot and observed a red Dodge Challenger leaving and returning to the scene before departing again.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) responded promptly, pronouncing Wood deceased at the scene. Homicide Unit detectives initiated an inv ...
