On October 28, 2010, 68-year-old Roosevelt Hinton was tragically killed during a robbery at the Get-A-Way Lounge, a bar he owned, located on Wilkinson Boulevard in Charlotte, North Carolina. The incident occurred in the early afternoon, around 1:58 p.m. Hinton was fatally shot during the robbery, and a suspect fled the scene in a faded black late 1990s or early 2000s Honda coupe.
This vehicle had distinctive black and silver rims and the words “F--- the War” scratched into the passenger rear quarter panel.
Despite initial leads and physical evidence collected at the scene, Hinton's murder remains unsolved. Investigators believe someone in the community may have knowledge about the incident and continue to encourage anyone with information to come forward, offering a reward for tips that lead to an arrest.
