On January 19, 2012, Yama Fluker, aged 32, was shot and killed while sitting in his car outside Al's Mini Mart on Toomey Avenue in Charlotte, North Carolina. The suspect approached Fluker while he was in the parking lot and fatally shot him before fleeing the scene. Surveillance footage captured the suspect running away, and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police later released the footage to the public, hoping to gather more information and leads.
