On December 20, 2002, 33-year-old Mark Elliott was fatally shot during a robbery at the Smallwood Grocery located at 2701 W. Trade Street in Charlotte, North Carolina. Elliott, who was working as a clerk at the store, was pronounced dead at the scene. Despite ongoing efforts by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department to solve the case, it remains unsolved, and investigators are seeking any information that could lead to an arrest.
