On the evening of October 14, 2023, 24-year-old Luiz Felipe Lopez-Garcia was fatally shot in Monroe, North Carolina. The incident occurred around 9:40 p.m. on Walkup Avenue, where officers found Lopez-Garcia deceased from gunshot wounds.
