Kalique Farmer, a 17-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on June 11, 2017, in Monroe, North Carolina. The incident occurred in the vicinity of Everette and Hough streets while Kalique was on his way to a cookout. This marked the first homicide in Monroe for the year 2017. According to police reports, Kalique did not reside in the neighborhood where the shooting took place.
