Necole DeMont Horne, a 26-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on February 7, 2014, in Monroe, North Carolina. The incident occurred at the Sunoco gas station on Franklin Street, where Horne was shot multiple times. Surveillance footage revealed that 22-year-old Christopher Thomas approached Horne, yelled at him, and then proceeded to shoot him. Horne was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
