On September 28, 2024, at approximately 11:18 a.m., Raleigh Police Department officers responded to a reported shooting in the 1400 block of East Lane Street. Upon arrival, they discovered 29-year-old Andrea Maria Coe suffering from gunshot wounds. She was immediately transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. Despite medical efforts, Coe succumbed to her injuries later that evening, prompting a death investigation by the authorities.
