Danielle Anita Hodges, a 27-year-old African American woman, was tragically found dead on the night of September 30, 2014, in Raleigh, North Carolina. The Raleigh police responded to a shooting in the 3500 block of Limber Lane, where they discovered her lifeless body. The following day, police arrested and charged 25-year-old Brian Davis, her former boyfriend, with her murder. According to her family, Davis fatally shot Hodges during a drunken domestic dispute.
