Monica Renee Williams, a 33-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on February 17, 2020, in Raleigh, North Carolina. The incident occurred on Pettigrew Street, where Monica was fatally shot in a driveway near New Bern Avenue. The shooting took place just after 2 p.m., and Monica was found with serious injuries. Despite being rushed to WakeMed, she succumbed to her injuries.
