In the Canarsie neighborhood of Brooklyn, a young man's life was cut short in an act of gun violence. Twenty-year-old Ethen Flowers was fatally shot on February 6, 2023. He had been leaving his girlfriend's birthday celebration when the incident occurred near the corner of Paerdegat 1st Street and East 79th Street.
