Elijah Muhammad Mims, a 24-year-old father, was tragically shot and killed on August 30, 2020, in Brooklyn, New York. The incident occurred during a large block party in the Bushwick neighborhood, which had around 200 attendees. Mims was sitting inside a dark-colored Mercedes-Benz on Madison Street near Bushwick Avenue when the shooting happened at approximately 3:45 a.m. He was struck multiple times in the face and body.
