On April 3, 2023, at approximately 1:30 p.m., 26-year-old Khadeem Jamante Conley was fatally shot in the chest on Temple Place near Parkway Drive in Syracuse, New York. Emergency responders transported him to Upstate Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. A second individual, 20-year-old Melchizedek Pearson, was found nearby on West Colvin Street with a gunshot wound to the midsection. He was also taken to Upstate Hospital and was expected to survive.
