On a cold November evening in Syracuse, New York, the life of 27-year-old Roy Neal was irrevocably altered. On November 16, 2016, at approximately 8:05 p.m., Neal was shot in the head on the 1700 block of E. Fayette Street. Emergency services arrived at the scene and transported him to Upstate University Hospital, where he fought for his life for five days.
