Azhawn Harvey, a 20-year-old resident of Syracuse, New York, tragically lost his life on July 4, 2015. Harvey was one of three individuals shot in Thornden Park during a violent incident that marred the Independence Day celebrations. He sustained a critical gunshot wound to the head and was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he remained in critical care until he succumbed to his injuries on July 9, 2015.
