Joseph Castillo, 40, a Hispanic/Latino male, was found mortally wounded on the south side of Syracuse late on the night of October 14, 2025. Officers were called to the area of Midland Avenue and West Brighton Avenue around 11 p.m., where they discovered him suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the head, arm, and back. He was rushed to Upstate University Hospital, where he died of his injuries.
