In the early morning hours of July 30, 2015, the life of 34-year-old Eli Morales-Pizarro, a male resident of Syracuse, New York, was cut short by an act of gun violence. The fatal shooting occurred on the city's Near West Side, transforming a quiet residential street into a crime scene.
