Malik Sharif Shipman, a 19-year-old soldier stationed at Fort Drum, tragically lost his life on July 4, 2022, in Syracuse, New York. Shipman, originally from Fairburn, Georgia, was a carpentry and masonry specialist with the 642nd Engineer Support Company, 46th Engineer Battalion, 20th Engineer Brigade, XVIII Airborne Corps.
