On a tragic Friday afternoon, June 24, 2022, the life of Ramir R. Martin, a 22-year-old Black male, was cut short in Syracuse, New York. A graduate of Henninger High School and a former employee at Lowe's, he was a lifelong resident of the city. The violent incident unfolded around 1:45 p.m. when Syracuse Police responded to reports of a shooting on Midland Avenue. Upon their arrival, they discovered a car that had crashed into a tree.
