On the evening of April 14, 2023, at approximately 8:20 p.m., 38-year-old Brooklyn resident Winston Chee was fatally shot outside an apartment building located at 2020 Albemarle Road in the Flatbush neighborhood. Responding to a 911 call reporting gunfire, officers from the NYPD's 70th Precinct arrived at the scene to find Chee with a gunshot wound to his torso. Emergency Medical Services transported him to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
