In the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn, a 27-year-old Black male named Antoine Ruffin was fatally shot on the evening of July 16, 2024. The incident occurred at approximately 7:41 p.m. near a Family Dollar store on Franklin Avenue. Responding to a 911 call, police discovered Ruffin with a gunshot wound to his chest. He was rushed to NYC Health and Hospitals/Kings County, where he was pronounced dead.
