Darnell Warren, a 36-year-old resident of Brooklyn, New York, was tragically shot and killed on the night of August 26, 2015. The incident occurred outside the Nostrand Houses, a public housing complex in Brooklyn. According to police reports, officers received a call about the shooting just after 10 p.m. and arrived to find Warren unconscious in front of the building on Bragg Street between Avenue W and Avenue X.
