In the summer of 2015, Darnell Warren, a 36-year-old man, was fatally shot in the Sheepshead Bay neighborhood of Brooklyn. The incident occurred on August 16th in front of a building in the Nostrand Houses complex located at 2356 Bragg St., a place he called home. Warren was struck in the back by gunfire. He was rushed to Coney Island Hospital, but sadly, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Following an investigation by the New York Police Department, a suspect was identified and
apprehended. Ramon Cooper, a 17-year-old resident of Nostrand Avenue, was arrested in connection with the fatal shooting. Authorities charged Cooper with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon. The motive for the shooting was not immediately made public.
