On the evening of Friday, October 10, 2025, Andy Desravines, a 42-year-old man, was fatally shot in the Prospect Park South neighborhood of Brooklyn. The incident occurred just before 8:40 p.m. in front of an apartment building at 80 East 18th St., near Church Avenue. Desravines, a father of two, was reportedly returning home from his job with the New York City Parks and Recreation when the shooting took place. He had just gotten off the train and was walking along East 18th Street.
